About nomadic road

a note from the founder

Nomadic Road was not born over-night; it was not an epiphany or a bolt of lightning. Over the decade I spent in the automobile industry, I watched people bond over their love for the road, the machines they drove and their desire to explore more. The thought of bringing such like-minded travellers who seek more meaningful travel experiences and making them explore the far ends of our planet with capable expedition vehicles was how Nomadic Road was conceived (though the name came later).

With Nomadic Road, our intention is to change the way people consume travel by creating an alternate lifestyle around Overland Motoring journeys. When I look back at all the expeditions I have organised, I have seen people completely awestruck while exploring uncharted territories. The exhilaration of driving expedition ready vehicles, the bewilderment of being lost in the middle of nowhere and slowly pushing them out of their comfort zone, this initial unease soon transforms into a great sense of accomplishment.

Our discerning clients come back to us asking for more, a sentiment that keeps the quest for the perfect journey alive even today. In 2018, Condé Nast Traveler put me on their elite list of "Top 20 Global Travel Specialist” when it comes to organising road trips and I strive to build the bond between man, machine and mother nature.

Our concept of Overland Expeditions

With Nomadic Road, our intention was to change the way people consume travel by creating an alternate lifestyle around Overland Motoring journeys. When I look back at all the expeditions I have organised, I have seen people completely awestruck while exploring uncharted territories. The exhilaration of driving expedition ready vehicles, the bewilderment of being lost in the middle of nowhere and slowly pushing them out of their comfort zone, the initial unease soon transforms into a great sense of accomplishment.

Let me give an example. One of our clients invited me to his home for dinner as his wife was super curious to know about our expeditions. During the conversation she asked, “my husband seems to be different (in a good way) ever since he came back from the expedition. What actually happened?”. Our idea was not to change anybody but it just happens during the course of the expedition. After all my ramblings, she immediately signed up for our next journey, to experience it herself.

What's with the name and identity

Nomadic Road finds its origins in the idea of being a Nomad, who moves from one place to another out of necessity. Not dependent on materialistic living but seeking true experiences which are about freedom and exploration. Because, the urge to explore is what has propelled human evolution. And since we specialize in overland journeys, hence the term Nomadic Road.

Our brand logo mark signifies Navigating the Wilderness: It denotes a compass arrow, guiding through the wilderness. The logo mark set together with the brand name doubles up as the letter "A" which has been the lucky alphabet throughout our founder’s life.
