In overlanding, guests can take a rugged 4×4 and drive around on their own. Driving allows guests to see and experience more of the country, while offering time to develop a deeper connection with their machine, the other explorers in the journey and their surroundings. 

In safaris, guests are carried in vehicles driven by a chauffeur and led by a guide. The guests’ interaction with the nature and their own sense of adventure is limited and often discourages venturing into the remoteness.

Our expeditions are self-drive journeys, so you’ll be behind the wheel. We arrange the ideal vehicle based on the kind of terrains you’ll be driving in. Prices are based on two people sharing a vehicle. On request, a third and fourth guest can be accommodated into the vehicle.

The Kalahari desert is a semi-arid savannah spread across Namibia, Botswana, and South Africa. Such vast landscapes are home to diverse species namely giraffes, desert-adapted elephants, black-maned lions, oryx aka gemsbok, zebra, wildebeest, spotted hyena, jackals, impala, cheetah, ostrich. The desert is also home to the three African big cats – cheetah, leopard and lions. The most remote reserve in southern Africa – the Central Kalahari Game Reserve is an oasis of stunning wildlife species.

Guests can opt to extend their Kalahari expedition at the end of the journey. For those interested in visiting Botswana's Okavango Delta, we can help you plan a trip extension from Maun. The Okavango is the world’s largest inland river delta. The Okavango River is currently the only river which flows through the desert.
